The University of Georgia (UGA) and the UGA Center for Research and Education at Wormsloe has commissioned LPC to complete a Conditions Assessment on the last remaining slave dwelling located on Wormsloe Plantation, otherwise known as Wormsloe State Historic Site, in Savannah. Consulting services will include: archival research, selective investigative removals, visual timeline of archival research coinciding with the findings from the investigative removals to illustrate what is physically left from each period, documentation of the building’s current exterior and interior conditions, identification of building deficiencies and to make recommendations for future preservation and restoration treatment of the building. The report will also create a phased prioritization schedule and create a capital budget to assist in long-term planning.
